Who we are
Harvest is simply all the incredible people God has positioned to be part of it over the years. And all glory is truly His for what has transpired in and through this local body of believers as we have set out to take ground for Christ and His Kingdom. Our greatest desire is to see Harvesters fully released into their destiny in Christ, living victoriously through obedience to His Word, leading a life in His Spirit, and making a difference to the world in which we live.
Harvest Christian Church started small over 35 years ago. And through the grace of God, has grown over the years to what it is now – with a big auditorium in Walmer plus multi-site churches in Colleen Glen, Sherwood, and Kleinskool – impacting communities locally in Port Elizabeth, and reaching out across South Africa, and the continent.
Regardless of size, Harvest always has been and will always remain, a family church. A multi-generational collection of physical and spiritual fathers and sons, mom’s and daughter’s, brothers and sisters. People who meet, and connect, and share, and journey, and belong, and grow together. We’re family of God.
God has also called Harvest to be a resource church, to reach out beyond itself – to disciple and equip, to multiply and send – and to further advance the Kingdom of God here on earth.
We’re a strong bible-based and Holy Spirit filled-and-led Christian church that absolutely loves to worship the Lord. We choose to model servanthood and excellence in all we do together for Jesus – as we love extravagantly, live victoriously, and touch the world!
Harvest comes under the covering of Church of the Nations, an international network of churches related by common family values and a hunger to reach the world for Jesus.
